Polia Sunockin Pillin - Snowscape Card Set

"Snowscape" by painter Polia Sunockin Pillin.  Born in Szenstochowa, Poland in 1909, Pillin immigrated to Chicago in 1924. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Jewish Peoples Institute. She was based in Santa Fe, New Mexico during the 1930's but made painting trips to California. Leaving Chicago in 1948, she settled in Los Angeles where she remained until her death in 1992.
